Backup your tweets the best way with Tweetake and Backupify

Wanted to archive my tweets before they become inaccessible {remember twitter does that}.
Tried a lot of services which included TweetBackup, Twistory {on recommendation of Chris Pirillo}, Evernote {@myEN}, and others too!
Found both these simple and good!

Backup your tweets with Tweetake or with Backupify

Tweetake
Tweetake is the simplest way of archiving your tweets.
Do it in simple steps.

1. Visit their site http://tweetake.com/
2. Select from your tweets, followers, friends {whom you follow and they follow you}, favorites, direct messages OR just simply everything.
3. Select encoding from excel compatible UTF-16 or UTF-8.
4. Hit Get 'em and from there on OAuth would take the wheel, authorize it by signing in to your Twitter account.
5. There it is, excel sheet containing your tweets along with other meta data.

What does Tweetake offer? who is behind it?
As to what does it offer?
Pure simplicity is the answer!
who is behind it? @alfaguru and @NikkiPlkington are the ones behind it.

Tweetake does have limits so see this if you are having problems.

 * Up to 10,000 followers’ tweets
 * Up to 1,000 favorites (currently limited to 200 by Twitter, sorry)
 * Up to 10,000 friends’ tweets
 * Up to 3,200 tweets
 * Up to 1,000 direct messages

Backupify
 Backupify is another brilliant wayof archiving your tweets.
Actually backupify does a lot more than just backing up your tweets.
It backs up other services too:

Signup for a backupify account for free login and authorize it by authenticating via your twitter account  {Oauth}
after 48 hours you would be emailed that your backup is ready!
What is interesting is that it provides the backup in XML formats and a pdf file.

Why only 3200?
This is at twitter end. and that's the reason why you need to start archiving your tweets.
This is explained here at Twitter's Get Satistfaction support page:
Pagination, Timeline and Archive Fixes

So get to it, Better save it while you have can.

There are a lot of workarounds available!
Maybe in another post!

Happy Archiving!
